The Founder – Mr. Primal Fernando

As the founder and tour organizer Mr.Premal Fernando put his more than 13 years’ experience on doing round tours in sri lanka into action by starting his own company SD Travels & Tours which is registered with Sri Lanka Tourist Board. His experience allows him to offer travelers with tour itineraries and experiences that are tailored to their individual needs and wants.

With a MSc. Tourism and Hospitality from the University of Sunderland and a BA in Travel & Tourism Management from London Metropolitan University, Primal has acquired a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of the tourism industry. Additionally, his Diploma in Marketing and certification in Plantation Accounting and Financial Management demonstrate my commitment to continuouslearning and professional development. Over the past decade, with a track record of managing tourist board-approved hotels such as Ameliya Resort in Sigiriya and Mutton Button Kandy overseeing the entire spectrum of operations, he
encompassed tour itinerary planning, international client handling, hotel management, and staffsupervision,showcasing my proficiency in a wide range of operational aspects within the hospitality and tourism sector. Moreover, having worked as a tea planter and factory manager, He bring a unique perspective to the table, enriched by my experience in adhering to ISO 22000 and HACCP standards.

With a solid foundation in academic qualifications, coupled with a wealth of hands-on experience in the
tourism and hospitality sector, he is well navigating the complexities of this business venture.
